OpenAI’s new ChatGPT Computer History feature for macOS is designed to make AI assistance more context-aware, but its local “diary” of user activity may also create a high-value target for macOS infostealers .
Released for the ChatGPT macOS desktop app, Computer History is disabled by default and currently applies to ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise users.
The opt-in capability converts selected activity across apps and websites into searchable memories that ChatGPT and Codex can use in later conversations.
